Mothers Of Military Support Network.....M.O.M.

Mothers Of Military Support Network...M.O.M. was established out of the desire to discuss and share the concerns of a mother who had a child in the military with other mothers. M.O.M. was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in September, 2000.

The founder Lucky Caswell- Harris, with a daughter in the U.S. Army, was unable to locate a support group for mothers or one which had a small contingent of mothers involved; after attending several support groups for families and wives of military personnel the need for a Mothers Support Group was evident.

Lucky began meeting in her home with family, co-workers, neighbors and fellow church members who also had children in the military, after several months it became known that impromptu meetings were being held and other mothers began contacting her to become involved with the group.

Lucky was contacted by the USO of Northern Ohio, who also realized the need for a support group for mothers and M.O.M. became affiliated with them. M.O.M. has grown from 5 worried mothers sitting in a living room laughing, crying, sharing and praying to a database of over 500 mothers and fathers and extended family members, as well as family members throughout the country contacting and communicating with M.O.M.

Meetings are held monthly with various USO based events and fund raisers ongoing.

Mothers Of Military Support Network...M.O.M. is comprised of Mothers and Fathers who have children in all branches of military service throughout the world.

Mothers Of Military Support Network...M.O.M. is a non-profit non-political organization.

The main focus is to support those who support our troops and to support our troops who protect us.
